Sunburst is the annual Business Times fundraising concert in aid of School of the Arts Endowment Fund (SOTA EF) and Muscular Dystrophy Association (Singapore) (MDAS). Produced by Global Cultural Alliance alongside Artistic Director Jeremiah Choy, the concerts featured persons of all abilities – from MDAS, SOTA and guest performers – sharing the stage and showcasing their artistic capabilities.

The name ‘Sunburst’ was chosen as the word evokes the imagery of rays radiating from a central force. As part of the Business Times’ efforts to reach out to the financially challenged and to those with physical disabilities, Sunburst is an initiative that promotes a more inclusive society in Singapore, and to raise and empower a new generation of creative and talented people to give back to the community in different ways.

From 2017 to 2019, Sunburst was presented by CapitaLand Hope Foundation, the philanthropic arm of CapitaLand.
