The First Lady of Entertainment. Singer. Deejay. Actress. Teacher. Fashion Designer. By the 1950s, Nona Asiah has done it all.

We had the honour of documenting the legacy of 2016 Cultural Medallion recipient for music, Nona Asiah. LEGACY: The Musical Journey of Nona Asiah is a CD of new arrangements of songs by music arranger and her son, Indra Ismail, which Nona Asiah made famous. It features performances by Najip Ali, Hazrul Nizam, Rilla Melati, young upcoming talent Syah Rizuan and beneficiaries of The Business Times Budding Artists Fund and an essay on Nona Asiah. We also oversaw the making of a short documentary video showcasing her legacy, featuring celebrities Najip Ali and Rilla Melati, and her son Talib Ismail.
