Moscow (2008)

Spotlight Singapore was invited to Russia by Embassy of Singapore in Moscow. This edition was the most ambitious undertaking. The programme saw a participation of close to 300 Singaporeans from the business and creative sectors, and was attended by Singapore’s then Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong and Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Sultanov.

 

The cross-cultural collaboration was further enhanced. Generation/s was expanded into a music-theatre work with the involvement of famed Russian violinist Tatiana Grindenko and her ensemble Opus Posth with Singapore artists in a work directed by Singapore thespian Ivan Heng fused with music composed by Cultural Medallion recipient Iskandar Ismail.

 

The event’s 4-day business exploration was developed in partnership with International Enterprise Singapore, and supported by the Skolkovo Moscow School of Management, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Opora Russia, Singapore Business Federation and Singapore Manufacturers’ Federation.
